The Modern Family star won her first Emmy (and the first award of the evening) at the big show. She joked that she was disappointed about the win, claiming she wouldn't have anything to talk about with her therapist next week. Then she thanked her onscreen hubby and her real hubby.

Melissa McCarthy didn't know quite what to do when she was announced as the big winner for her role on Mike & Molly. The actress received a tiara and bouquet of roses in the pageant-style win, and she appropriately cried through her entire acceptance speech.

Jon Stewart and a whole bunch of writers from the show got up onstage to accept the prize. Of course, the speech was not without some good wisecracks. This is the 9th year in a row the show's won thi prize. Stewart gave a shoutout to his pal Stephen Colbert while onstage, and also thanked the Lonely Island guys for singing about sex in front of his young kids at the show.
